Application Process

When you are ready to apply, email or call one of the Petty Officers on the Contact page to schedule an interview.

When attending your interview, please bring the following documents:

  • An original or certified copy of your birth certificate to verify date of birth and citizenship (we will not keep the copy).
  • Your most recent report card from school.

The NSCC also requires the following three forms from each applicant:

NSCADM 021

A licensed doctor must fill out this form and sign it. You may need to schedule a physical. If you have recently had a physical (sports, scouts, etc.), your doctor may be able to use information from your record on file.

To access these forms, go to the Sea Cadet Homeport website, the online portal of the Naval Sea Cadet Corps. In the left column, choose "Forms and Templates." On that page, select "Administrative Forms." Here is a direct link to the application forms.
